The Hillsdale Brewery & Public House, the first brewing location for McMenamins and Oregon’s first brewpub since Prohibition days, will be hosting the 21st Annual Hillsdale Brewfest on Saturday, February 22 in SW Portland, Ore.
This McMenamins-only brewfest holds great significance due to the fact that the winning beer will be McMenamins’ entry for the Oregon Brewers Festival taking place in July. Patrons will have the opportunity to order 10-beer sampler trays, try out all 20 entries and vote for their favorite. Along with their beer being brewed for OBF the winning brewer will receive the notorious championship belt. The beers run the gamut from pale to porter, competing head-to-head.
An addition to this year’s festival is that a special Hillsdale Brewfest stamp will be available for people working on filling their McMenamins Passport.
